Cancer Center
According to the latest statistics released by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, cancer has been the leading cause of death in Taiwan for 35 consecutive years, with over 40,000 deaths from cancer each year. However, it is important to note that not all cancer cases are terminal. With early detection, diagnosis, and treatment, many cancers can be cured.
Since its establishment, our hospital has treated hundreds of cancer cases. In order to provide an integrated and patient-centered approach to cancer treatment, we have established a Cancer Center that focuses on the diagnosis, treatment, care, and follow-up of cancer patients. It serves as a multidisciplinary center within the hospital, offering personalized and high-quality cancer care while addressing the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients.
In addition to the integration of multiple departments, we currently have ten specialized cancer care teams, including colorectal cancer, head and neck cancer, breast cancer, liver cancer, lung cancer, urological cancer, esophageal cancer, stomach cancer, gynecological cancer, and lymphoma. These teams work in collaboration with our Cancer Integration Clinic, outpatient chemotherapy, radiation therapy, case management services, cancer resource center, nutrition counseling, and social work and psychological support services, aiming to provide comprehensive and high-quality diagnostic and treatment care. We also strive to establish a network of social resources and actively promote cancer-related medical education and research, with the goal of providing precision cancer medicine in the future and continuously improving the quality of cancer care services.
