Hyaluronic Acid Injection
Hyaluronic acid is a polysaccharide that exists in biological organisms with the same structure. It is mainly used as a filler and injected into the dermis to address wrinkles, folds, and areas that require volumizing, such as lips, cheeks, nasal bridge, and scars. It immediately reduces static lines and improves facial appearance. Through biotechnology extraction, there is no need to worry about rejection or allergies, as the human body has its own system to absorb hyaluronic acid, which gradually degrades over time.
Indications:
Filling deep forehead wrinkles, frown lines, nasolabial folds, as well as facial contouring such as facelift, nose augmentation, and lip augmentation.
Contraindications:
Pregnant or breastfeeding women, or those planning to become pregnant.
Treatment process:
Before treatment:
- Consult with a physician to assess treatment needs and areas.
- Inform the physician if you have previously undergone minimally invasive cosmetic procedures or other surgical procedures.
During treatment:
- Cleanse the face and take photographs, apply numbing cream for approximately 20 to 40 minutes.
- Treatment time varies depending on the size of the treatment area, typically ranging from 30 to 60 minutes.
- Complete a consent form.
After treatment:
- Temporary redness and swelling may occur on the skin after treatment. It usually gradually subsides after applying ice packs for 20 minutes.
- Avoid using irritating products (e.g., retinoids, fruit acids) and exfoliating skincare products for three days after treatment. Also, avoid high-temperature environments (e.g., saunas, near heaters, ovens, hot springs).
Side effects:
- Hyaluronic acid has high compatibility and safety. The probability of allergic reactions or rejection after injection is very low. Common side effects may include swelling, redness, pain, a sense of foreign body, and a soft and loose sensation at the injection site. These symptoms typically disappear within 1-2 days after injection. If these symptoms persist or if any other severe reactions occur, such as severe whitening, intense pain, or skin necrosis, please consult your treating physician immediately and arrange a follow-up visit.
Injection precautions:
- Avoid touching the injection area within 24 hours. During this period, gently cleanse with water and soap.
- Before the initial swelling and redness subside, avoid exposing the injection area to extreme heat, saunas, sunbathing, or extremely cold environments.
- Inform the healthcare provider if you are currently taking aspirin or similar medications, as this may increase the risk of bruising or bleeding in the injection area.
- There have been cases of patients experiencing blindness and stroke after the subcutaneous implantation of hyaluronic acid. If symptoms such as blurred vision, slurred speech, or facial paralysis occur, please consult your treating physician immediately and seek medical attention.
Interval and frequency:
The interval between injections depends on various factors such as skin structure, lifestyle, age, and the customer's satisfaction requirements, which may indirectly or directly influence the injection results. It is recommended to have a follow-up evaluation after 6-8 months.
