Cancer Center
According to the latest data released by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, cancer has been the leading cause of death among Taiwanese for 35 consecutive years, with over 40,000 deaths attributed to cancer each year. However, it is important to note that not all cancers are terminal. Many cancers have a chance of being cured if detected, diagnosed, and treated early.
Since its establishment, our hospital has treated hundreds of cancer cases. To provide a patient-centered and comprehensive cancer treatment model, we have established the Cancer Center, which serves as an integrated center across departments in the hospital. The Cancer Center offers continuous services to cancer patients from diagnosis, treatment, care, to follow-up, providing personalized and high-quality cancer-specific medical care. We also address the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients, offering comprehensive care.
In addition to the multidisciplinary integrated services, we have established ten cancer care teams, including colorectal cancer, head and neck cancer, breast cancer, liver cancer, lung cancer, urological cancer, esophageal cancer, gastric cancer, gynecological cancer, and lymphoma. These teams collaborate with the hospital's Cancer Integrated Clinic, outpatient chemotherapy, radiation therapy, case manager care, Cancer Resource Center, nutritional counseling, and social work and psychological support to ensure high-quality and comprehensive medical services. We also strive to establish a network of social resources and connections and actively promote cancer-related medical education and research, with the aim of providing precision cancer treatment and continuously improving the quality of cancer medical services in the future.
