"Prevention is better than cure" - Preventive medicine is an important aspect of the medical field and a key development focus of China Medical University Hsinchu Hospital. Since March 2019, the hospital has officially launched comprehensive health check-up services, utilizing state-of-the-art medical testing equipment and thoughtful planning to wholeheartedly safeguard the health of the public. The hospital has also pioneered a one-stop "Health Promotion Clinic," where patients can bring their health check-up reports and receive immediate explanations from specialized physicians, eliminating the need to travel between various departments.

[Data Source: Ministry of Health and Welfare, 2019 Top Ten Causes of Death] Ranked in order of deaths per 100,000 population: (1) Cancer - 212.9 deaths, (2) Heart Diseases - 84.2 deaths, (3) Pneumonia - 64.4 deaths, (4) Cerebrovascular Diseases - 51.6 deaths, (5) Diabetes - 42.4 deaths, (6) Accidental Injuries - 28.1 deaths, (7) Chronic Lower Respiratory Diseases - 26.7 deaths, (8) Hypertensive Diseases - 26.5 deaths, (9) Nephritis, Nephrotic Syndrome, and Nephrosis - 21.4 deaths, (10) Chronic Liver Diseases and Cirrhosis - 18.0 deaths. The top ten causes accounted for 77.5% of total deaths, mainly comprising chronic diseases. Cancer has consistently ranked as the leading cause of death among the Taiwanese population for the past 38 years since 1971.

Cardiovascular diseases, acute and severe illnesses, and chronic diseases have become national health concerns. Recognizing the shortage of large medical facilities in Hsinchu County, where patients often have to travel long distances for medical care and may miss critical rescue opportunities, China Medical University has established Hsinchu Hospital with a vision of "Urgency, Cardiovascular Care, Lifesaving, and Neurological Care." The goal is to establish an international medical center and endow the Health Check and Health Promotion Center with a mission to provide premium health examinations and wholeheartedly protect the well-being of every individual.
