You have the right to receive high-quality professional medical care.
Fairness
You have the right to receive equal access to healthcare services.
You should not be discriminated against based on race, color, religion, gender, disability, social status, or nationality.
Privacy
You have the right to request the protection of your personal privacy.
Freedom
You have the right not to be subjected to unnecessary restrictions or isolation that are not medically necessary.
Information
You have the right to receive complete medical information.
This includes information regarding diagnosis, treatment options, prognosis, alternative treatments, and potential complications.
Informing
Unless it is an emergency situation, the physician must provide detailed explanations and obtain your written "informed consent" before performing any invasive examinations, treatments, or surgeries.
Decision
You have the right to make decisions regarding your own healthcare matters in collaboration with healthcare personnel.
Advance Directive
You have the right to assert your "Advance Medical Directive" (also known as a living will or healthcare directive), which allows you to plan your medical decisions in advance for future needs, or designate a healthcare proxy to make medical decisions on your behalf.
Declinature
You have the right to refuse any medication, treatment, examination, or surgery. However, it is the physician's responsibility to inform you of the medical consequences of such refusal.
Complaint
You have the right to express your complaints and dissatisfaction to the ward nursing supervisor. Complaints can be submitted via email to answer@mail.cmuhch.org.tw.
