Mission of the Department of Medical Imaging
The Department of Medical Imaging adheres to the mission of "saving lives, saving hearts, saving brains, and saving souls" of our hospital. We introduce high-end and sophisticated equipment and collaborate with excellent medical personnel to provide quality medical services and precise diagnosis and minimally invasive treatment for the people of Greater Hsinchu.
State-of-the-Art Equipment
Our department is equipped with the latest 512-slice computed tomography (CT) scanner, 128-slice CT scanner, 1.5 Tesla magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanner, digital angiography system, digital mammography machine, digital X-ray machine, and bone densitometry scanner. As the hospital continues to expand, we will soon add a high-resolution 3.0 Tesla MRI scanner. Furthermore, our hospital has established a comprehensive Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) to achieve a medical center-level fully digitalized medical environment.
Currently, the department comprises 7 specialist physicians, 1 resident physician, 19 radiographers, and 5 nurses. Led by Vice President Ruan Chunrong and Director Liu Changxian, the team is strong and cohesive, providing high-quality clinical examination services to achieve the primary goal of "safe examinations and rapid diagnosis."
Minimally Invasive Treatments
Under the leadership of Director Liu Changxian, our department actively develops various minimally invasive treatments, including image-guided drainage, arterial embolization therapy for liver tumors, radiofrequency tumor ablation, transcatheter arterial embolization therapy, and acute ischemic stroke arterial thrombectomy. These treatments not only result in smaller incisions and shorter recovery times but also demonstrate significant therapeutic effects.
Director Liu personally performs "arterial embolization therapy for liver tumors" and "radiofrequency ablation therapy for liver cancer," benefiting numerous patients with liver diseases. Dr. Li Qiaohua has established a leading team in the Greater Hsinchu area for "acute ischemic stroke arterial thrombectomy," seizing the golden opportunity to rescue stroke patients and reduce the post-stroke sequelae caused by brain damage.
Specialized Diagnostics
Our department has introduced high-end equipment, exemplified by the coronary artery computed tomography (CT) examination, which is currently the best non-invasive tool for examining the heart and blood vessels. Equipped with the "Advanced Panorama Spectral 8K-HD CT Scanner," our hospital can complete cardiovascular scans within a single heartbeat cycle using ultra-low doses, resulting in precise and clear diagnostic results. This technology aids in early diagnosis and helps prevent the risk of acute myocardial infarction.
Moreover, we complement this advanced equipment with a medical center-level fully digitalized medical imaging transmission and storage system. This system can provide various forms of professional medical diagnostic images according to the patient's condition. In the near future, we will also introduce the latest high-resolution 3.0T advanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanner, offering the public even clearer and more diverse diagnostic value.
