Obesity is considered the root cause of many diseases, and the World Health Organization has identified it as one of the most significant public health challenges of the 21st century.

Obesity not only affects physical appearance but also has a profound impact on the health of various organ systems in the body. It is closely associated with conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, coronary artery disease, gallbladder disease, sleep apnea, and osteoarthritis. Additionally, obesity increases the risk of breast cancer, endometrial cancer, and colorectal cancer.

The "Medical Weight Management Center" at China Medical University Hsinchu Hospital was established in August 2022. It comprises a team of professional physicians, dietitians, and case managers who provide comprehensive integrated care services. Throughout the weight loss process, you will receive high-quality medical services delivered by our expert team.

The Medical Weight Management Center is located on the second floor of the hospital's medical building, offering a comfortable and private waiting area along with a state-of-the-art surgical system. Led by Professor Wei-Jie Lee, a renowned authority in medical weight management, the center comprises a multidisciplinary team of specialist physicians, nurses, case managers, and dietitians. This team provides diversified medical services and personalized weight loss planning and management, including postoperative follow-up. We aim to offer comprehensive weight loss services to the public, assisting patients in overcoming the challenges of weight loss and embarking on a new chapter in their lives.
